Optometry Australia has called on the profession and its supporters to demand an end to the freeze put on Medicare rebates for optometry.
According to Optometry Australia, the Government has frozen patient rebates for optometry services until July 2020. Rebates were last increased in 2012 and were cut by 5 per cent in 2015.
