George & Matilda Eyecare, Australia’s newest national optometry network, has announced an exclusive partnership with lens manufacturer Zeiss.
Zeiss will be the network’s strategic lens supplier, providing lenses to George & Matilda Eyecare practices. It will also deliver ongoing training and development to practice staff, an offer Chris Beer, CEO of George & Matilda Eyecare said was key to their choice of lens partner.
“An important factor in our decision to work with Zeiss was their ability to provide comprehensive lens education and training across the George & Matilda Eyecare network through their marketing and product support teams,” he said, adding that well trained staff would be able to clearly communicate the benefits of quality lenses to customers. “Our vision is to offer customers great eye care together with great eyewear and lenses. We don’t want to push customers into buying lenses they don’t understand or can’t afford. We want customers to understand the opportunities quality lenses can bring.”
Zeiss Managing Director Hilke Fitzsimons said the partnership was a natural fit for both parties. “George & Matilda Eyecare’s ambition to provide its customers with quality that goes beyond their expectations makes them a perfect fit for Zeiss. We are incredibly excited to partner with Chris and his team, who have an ambition that matches our own when it comes to building the future of eye care.”
Mr. Beer said his organisation was in negotiations with Zeiss to develop lenses that are exclusive to George & Matilda Eyecare in the future.
