Shamir Autograph Intelligence is a technological breakthrough in progressive lens design that adapts to the diverse needs of today’s presbyope.
To develop the lens, Shamir embarked on extensive research using big data analysis and artificial intelligence. This research, based on five million prescriptions, revealed a correlation between patients’ visual needs and what Shamir calls their ‘Visual Age’, which refers to the physiological age of the eye (the required addition) and is generally correlated with the patient’s chronological age.
Prescribing and dispensing the lens is simple and eliminates the need to ask customers to complete questionnaires or select an individual progressive type for different needs. Within the 12 different additions, there are 440,000 design options. Each addition has 36,000 different inbuilt options, reinforced by the latest three Shamir technologies; eye point technology AI, continuous design, and visual AI engine. The lifestyle needs of the wearer are automatically designed, using the individual addition power.
