Zeiss is helping eye care professionals to achieve appropriate social distancing in the clinic environment with the release of a series of new breath shields for several of its instruments. In addition to the existing slit lamp breath shield, Zeiss users can now order shields for the Humphrey Field Analyser, IOLMaster optical biometer, Clarus ultra-widefield retinal camera and the Cirrus family of optical coherence tomographers.
The breath shields are user installable and can be ordered from the Zeiss Support Now website in Australia (www.zeiss.com/meditec/int/medsupport- now.html) or by contacting the company directly in New Zealand. Breath shields for additional devices will be announced by the company in the coming months.
