The Topcon DRI OCT Triton is a multi-modal sweptsource optical coherence tomographer (OCT) with a non-mydriatic colour fundus camera. Using a 1,050nm wavelength light source, and a scanning speed of 100,000 A Scans/sec, it provides uniform scanning sensitivity, allowing superior visualisation of the vitreous and choroid in the same scan.
With its optional OCT-Angiography (OCT-A) module, and OCTARA (full-spectrum ratio-based amplitude ratio analysis software), the Triton is capable of producing stunningly clear, detailed OCT-A images, helping surgeons better understand blood flow in the eye. Recent research indicates that OCT-A will join OCT in the fight against glaucoma, with some exciting results developing that link capillary density to retinal nerve fibre layer thinning in patients with glaucoma.
