The Israeli-owned optical chain, Carolina Lemke, has shut up shop in Australia, closing its three Sydney stores, as well as its Melbourne location.
The chain has stores in Europe, the UK and the United States. The eyewear brand ‘Carolina Lemke Berlin’ is part of Castro Hoodies Retail group. The chain has stores in Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States. Carolina Lemke’s Australian website is now offline.
It’s been revealed that Daniel and Michelle Tracton, the owners of Tracton Optometrists in Sydney’s Bondi Junction, have purchased assets from the three Sydney locations.
When they closed the stores, patients of all three (Sydney) sites were at a loose end, looking for a new place for their eye care and eyewear
“This decision made sense for us. The Carolina Lemke store in Bondi Junction was a mere 150 metres away from our new practice,” Mr Tracton told mivision.
“When they closed the stores, patients of all three (Sydney) sites were at a loose end, looking for a new place for their eye care and eyewear. We are very happy to give these patients continuity of care in our practice, especially as we approach the busy optical period,” Mr Tracton said.
