All Welcome: Specsavers Clinical Conference

The Specsavers Clinical Conference (SCC) returns for its 15th year, bringing together optometrists from across Australia and New Zealand to focus on delivering exceptional patient care. Taking place from 12-13 September on the Gold Coast or online, this annual conference presents a weekend full of learning, development and discovery.

All optometrists are invited to attend, whether you work at a Specsavers practice or elsewhere.

Conference Highlights

  • Main stage presentations from industry experts, as well as leading optometrists and ophthalmologists,
  • Hands-on practical experience with workshops on foreign body removal, advanced dry eye management, contact lens fitting, and binocular vision,
  • Networking opportunities with peers and industry
  • Wellness sessions and more.

The Specsavers clinical conference has been accredited for up to 20 CPD hours.

All optometrists are invited to attend, whether you work at a Specsavers practice or elsewhere

Speakers You’ll Hear From

Lectures will be delivered by: ophthalmologists Associate Professor James Elder, Dr Mali Okada, Dr Bob Wang, Dr Clare Fraser, Dr Rushmia Karim, Dr Christolyn Raj, and Dr Phillipa Sharwood; optometrists Dr Mariella Coluccio, Nihaama Narayanan, Adele Jefferies, Dr Kate Gifford, and Lewis Lam; and behaviour expert Anthony Laye, CooperVision’s Joe Tanner, and Specsavers’ Sarah Halloran.

Workshops will be presented by Acyel Al-Alosi, Jolene Cheah and Dr Ambhruni Padhye from Specsavers, ophthalmologist Dr Jenny Tian, and Helen Gleave and Megan Zabell from Alcon.
