Independent optometry initiative Australian Made Vision is encouraging practices to consider joining the platform as they plan their business and marketing strategies for 2027.
Launched by Opticare earlier this year, Australian Made Vision aims to give independent optometry practices “the scale, visibility, and shared voice that has always belonged to the big chains” while promoting the benefits of local, independently owned eye care practices. The platform combines patient education, local search visibility, and links connecting patients with participating practices.
According to Opticare, Australian Made Vision has been shown 75,000 times to patients searching for eye care online since its mid-year launch, generating traffic to the directory and participating practices.

Participation is limited to one practice per area. The platform focuses on educating patients about eye care and independent practice, highlighting locally owned businesses, and connecting patients with participating practices.
Australian Made Vision is supported by Opticare, an Australian-owned lens manufacturer and supplier. Practices can register their interest to determine whether their area is available by visiting: australianmadevision.com.au
