Calvin Klein turns 40

mivision was exclusively invited to celebrate Calvin Klein’s 40th anniversary at a celebrity studded event held on Cockatoo Island in December. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column]

The large scale, invitation-only, social spotlight of the month, drew hundreds of local as well as international guests and celebrities into the industrial space, which featured the unveiling of multiple, custom, creative light works by acclaimed Australian Aboriginal light artist, Jonathan Jones.

The event was hosted by actress Abbie Cornish, who was accompanied by partner and actor, Ryan Phillippe; and Creative Director of Calvin Klein and Calvin Klein Jeans, Kevin Carrigan.

Skin, skin and more skin was the dress code of the evening, with stunning models loitering around the appreciative crowd in Calvin Klein underwear, while some (sans underwear) seductively entangled themselves around giant boulders, to the beats of internationally recognised DJ Stretch Armstrong.

The rest of the posse of models, posed, preened and positioned as part of various light installations around white fluorescent tube lights exhibiting the spring 2009 Calvin Klein Jeans apparel, eyewear, accessories, watches and jewellery, and Calvin Klein underwear.

Notable guests included designer Gail Elliott; television personalities Tom Williams and Jason Dundas; Vogue Australia’s Editor in Chief Kirstie Clements; Michael Clarke’s fiancé and model Lara Bingle; horse racing identity Kate Waterhouse; former footballer Luke Ricketson; model Anneleise Siubert; DJ Ruby Rose; film producer Gracie Otto; and advertising mogul Siimon Reynolds, among others.
