Optovue has released the iVue Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) technology, a faster and more economical alternative to the RTVue OCT.
In 2006, Optovue launched the RTVue Fourier Domain 3D which has been renowned for being a very reputable OCT.
The new baby brother of RTVue, the iVue has been designed as a compact portable laptop-driven OCT, utilising the same high speed and resolution spectral-domain technology but without all of the scanning and analysis options.
The iVue is likely to appeal to the ophthalmic practitioner requiring a more economical option for fast and easy OCT scanning of the Retina, ONH & Cornea.
Analysis features include retinal and glaucoma evaluation with normative database comparison for age and ethnic group, symmetry and change analysis reports, pachymetry map and keratoconus assessment.
