Miru 1 Day flat pack, created with Menicon’s proprietary technology, is an astonishing 87.5 per cent thinner and just 40 per cent of the volume of a conventional blister pack used to store contact lenses.
However, Miru is much more than a novel and convenient package. The design is hygienic, exposing the outer surface of the lens upon opening every time, reducing the likelihood of the user touching the inner surface of the lens, thus preventing bacteria or debris from coming into contact with the cornea.
Miru is manufactured in Hema-GMA (2-Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate-Glycerol Methacrylate) 57 per cent water content with blue handling tint, a lens material offering superior moisture retention. The unique chemistry of GMA attracts water molecules for high wettability and gives exceptional all-day comfort. The lens design also
incorporates aberration control optics.
