Optovue has launched its new iScan OCT model. The iScan is completely automated so the operator simply enters patient information and selects the required scan patterns. Once the patient is positioned, this OCT vocally guides the patient through the entire scan procedure.
The iScan is compact, portable and completely self-contained with large touch screen monitor and wireless connectivity. It includes a full suite of retina, glaucoma and cornea/anterior scans with analysis software including trend analysis, rate of change and significance. Automated features include eye detection and focus, anatomy detection and scan alignment, signal optimisation and data quality checks.
