Alcon has launched a new platform for digitally assisted vitreoretinal surgery. The NGenuity 3D Visualisation System, features a high-definition 3D viewing screen linked to a high dynamic range camera, offering surgeons a real-time panoramic view of the posterior segment with depth perception.
The microscope-free, heads-up design promotes improved posture, may reduce fatigue1 and improves the teaching environment, as the entire operating team may now see what previously only the surgeon could in real-time.
