The 13th conference of the Orthokeratology Society of Oceania (OSO) will be held at the Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast from 5–7 October 2018.
Orthok has significantly evolved over the years. What began as a Lasik alternative has now become a major tool in the fight to control myopia progression.
This 13th OSO conference will offer something for everyone who is, or wants to be, involved in the exciting field of OrthoK and myopia control.
World leading practitioners and researchers will present on the latest OrthoK lens design and research in relation to myopia control as well as the latest research and clinical best practice of other major techniques to control myopia.
Specific topics will include the effect on myopia progression of soft multifocal lenses, atropine, binocular vision, combined therapies, the outdoors etc. Additionally, the latest developments in the ever growing field of scleral and hybrid lenses will be discussed. A session on how to setup and run a successful myopia control practice will provide delegates with practical, take home messages and tips.
The OSO Conference is well known for its social program and this year will not disappoint with Speakers’ drinks on Friday and a themed party on Saturday night.
