The Endo-Optiks E2 System combines an 810nm diode laser, xenon light source and a medical grade video camera in a 19 or 23 gauge straight probe. The 19 gauge probe is also available in a curved version.
The system can be used for glaucoma management, vitreo-retinal surgery, lacrimal duct surgery and ocular trauma management. The video camera provides visualisation of difficult to access eye anatomy such as the ciliary processes and pars plana.
Endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation can be used to treat both open and narrow angle glaucoma. Ablating the pigmented epithelium of the ciliary processes, using low power 810nm laser energy, effectively reduces aqueous production and lowers intraocular pressure. Endo-Optiks is also a valuable teaching and research tool.
