Optovue – the first manufacturer to release non-invasive 3D optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A) – has now launched AngioVueHD and AngioAnalytics upgrades for their OCTs, delivering 3D high definition imaging of retinal and choroidal micro vasculature, and analysis of retinal blood flow.
AngioVueHD imaging is useful for diagnosis of retinal vascular disorders, including diabetic retinopathy. It shows capillary dropout and microaneurysms at the superficial and deep plexus layers, and finely displays retinal and choroidal neovascularisation.
AngioAnalytics’ features include quantification of non-flow and flow in the inner and outer retinal layers respectively; 3D vessel rendering; vessel density mapping; enlargement of the foveal avascular zone (FAZ); A-circularity index; trend reports for vessel density, FAZ area and perimeter; and AngioAnalytics of the optic nerve head for early diagnosis of glaucoma.
