The Talking Eyes podcast has launched a new professional stream podcast, Talking Eyes: Practitioner Series, designed to complement the already released patient-friendly episodes.
Darwin-based optometrist and educator Lien Trinh said while the public-facing season explores corneal conditions and contact lenses through patient-friendly conversations and lived experience, the Practitioner Series takes these themes further for clinicians translating them into practical, consulting room guidance.
“The Practitioner Series features in depth conversations with leading experts in keratoconus, contact lens fitting, dry eye disease, orthokeratology, and myopia” Ms Trinh said.
“Each episode draws on clinical experience and evidence-based research to provide decision-making frameworks, red flags, referral guidelines, and confidence-building tips for managing anterior eye presentations.”

Ms Trinh said their expert insights make the Practitioner Series relevant to optometrists, general practitioners with an eye interest, ophthalmic nurses, students, and allied health providers who encounter anterior eye complaints.
The Talking Eyes Season 2 Practitioner Series is now available through mivision, ProLearn, and the Optometry Australia platforms for registered practitioners only. All episodes will also be accessible via Alcon’s online education platform, Alcon Experience Academy, alconexperienceacademy.com/index-aea.aspx.
