The Cylite HP-OCT is an Australian-made optical coherence tomography (OCT) system based on patented, next-generation hyperparallel principles. The HP-OCT uses 1,008 simultaneous scanning beamlets, which enables the capture of highly accurate volume data that is insensitive to eye movement artefacts – even in the anterior segment.
Thanks to this patented approach, the HP-OCT can produce highly accurate topography maps of the anterior and posterior surfaces of not only the cornea, but also of the crystalline lens. Being based on OCT technology rather than a reflective method, like Placido rings, the corneal topography map is not affected by tear film. Corneal epithelium and pachymetry maps may also be displayed.
Add to this biometry and retinal OCT capabilities, and the HP-OCT offers an impressive array of applications.
